OSMECON 2019's chief guest was Dr. Sowmya Swaminathan, a pediatrician, chief scientist at the WHO, and also known for her research on HIV and Tuberculosis. She delivered a guest lecture providing valuable insights into the field of research and the development of primary healthcare.
Our special guests included Dr. Hemalatha, Director of the National Institute of Nutrition, who spoke of the research and its importance.

Dr. Rakesh Mishra, Director of CCMB, gave us some food for thought - "While there are opportunities, there are also problems associated with it - in our country, there are more ethnic groups which leads to the involvement of many genetic problems. These problems can be overcome by the involvement of medical students in the field of research".
- Dr. Prakash Baba Amte, and Dr. Mandakini Amte, recipient of the Ramon Magsaysay Award, also honored us with their presence as guest speakers. They live amid the Gond tribes in Maharashtra, helping with their hands and healing with their hearts.
There were 2800 delegates from 17 states and 5 countries( Ukraine,Russia,china, Philippines, Kazakhstan).
