- The 15th edition of OSMECON, the annual international undergraduate medical conference organised by Osmania Medical College, was inaugurated by Dr. Venkataraman Chandra-Mouli, former Scientist in the Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research at the World Health Organization (WHO). His address emphasised evidence-based medicine, research, and collaboration in shaping the future of healthcare.

- Guest Speaker Dr. Vishwa Mohan Katoch, former Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), highlighted the role of research, innovation, and scientific inquiry in advancing healthcare and medical education.

- Guest of Honour Dr. Guru N. Reddy, Founder and Chairman of Continental Hospitals, reflected on excellence, perseverance, and the values that shape a successful medical career.

- The conference included 13 workshops and four active academic events: Case Presentation, Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, and Medical Symposium. Poster Presentation explored the themes Misleading Medicine and Roots of Medicine.

- Eleven passive events encouraged creativity among medical students. They included MedQuiz, Dare to Diagnose, Graphilia, Invictus, Art Attack, Medimposter, and Shuttermedics.

- More than 3,000 delegates attended the 15th edition, reaffirming OSMECON's place among India's largest undergraduate medical conferences.
